Quick answers

Delayed consequences in plain language.

Understand the choice, cause chain, evidence, revision and sharing.

What does Consequences Nobody Expected Generator create?

Prepare one present-day delayed consequence from one completed minor choice. Keep the original choice and known result beside a four-stage cause chain, intervening development, present evidence, impact limit and open responses. Review each connection for continuity and proportion in your campaign.

How do I choose access?

Create a free VISINVOKE account and review current generator access and pricing in your account. Choose the required access for this selected generator or an eligible generator pack. Other VISINVOKE products have separate access arrangements.

What do Quick and Deep preparation include?

Quick starts with the choice, intent, established facts, immediate outcome, elapsed time, current situation and source truth. Choose consequence character, surprise source and present pressure. Deep adds the affected person or object, unnoticed detail, intervening conditions, setting logic, stakes, impact limit, player choices and private context.

How do I review and revise the cause chain?

Review the four-stage chain and suggested evidence against the supplied campaign history. Structured edits and undo are available. Reroll the causal seed, development, manifestation or table guidance. Rerolling the first three also replaces the cause chain and present consequence; review these against retained passages. Full generation replaces sections regardless of locks.

How do saves and sharing work?

Save to your signed-in VISINVOKE account with a title, tags and notes. Search, rename, duplicate or delete, with up to twelve previous versions. Opening a save restores its result and locks, so enter the input details again when needed. Copy, download JSON or print the selected Dungeon Master or player view. Review for spoilers: the player view can include the current situation, affected person or object and impact limit exactly as entered. Direct edits do not refresh the separate player view, so review it again before sharing. Keep private continuity in your own notes.

Where do I use it, and what are its boundaries?

Open Consequences Nobody Expected Generator from the Generators collection in Desktop Command Centre on Windows. It prepares one written consequence, with responses open to the players. It does not build a wider ripple map, schedule events, update the Player Decision Log, change faction standing or force a reward, punishment, quest or irreversible loss. It starts no combat and sends nothing to Combat PRO.
